3-Axis Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs)

With several 3-axis VMCs available, we cover all your milling and machining needs. All VMCs have programmable 4th-axis and pallet-changing capabilities, enabling us to complete larger production runs, and table sizes of 1000mm x 500mm, with 450mm stroke in the Z axis, allowing for larger components to be machined.

DMG Mori CMX50U 5-Axis VMC

In June 2019, RK Precision Ltd added a second 5-axis machining centre, the superb DMG Mori CMX50U, which further enhanced our manufacturing process. Having the ability to machine from five sides in one setup has improved accuracy and speed. With Bilz shrink-fit tooling, machining accuracy is second to none. Coupled with the glass scales and production packages, this means the finished component goes through the production line quicker, with more accuracy and minimal human error.

Autodesk PowerMILL 2023 Software

We have the latest Autodesk PowerMILL 2023 software installed and a maintenance contract for two seats, which means our CAD/CAM system is continually improving with regular upgrades from Autodesk. We can accept models in most formats. This means that we are producing the parts from customers models rather than us producing the model from PDF drawings.

Lang 5-Axis Vices

Furthermore, we have complemented our high-end machinery with Lang 5-axis vices, whose unique hydraulic crimping system gives us superior clamping integrity and repeatability.
